Walnut Hall

Building Description

Walnut Hall is a residence hall with a capacity of 50 students, none of which can be first year students. It is located on the corner of Walnut and Marshall Street. Residents of Walnut enjoy a convenient location that is adjacent to the Haven Hall Dining Center and is one block from the Kimmel Food Court. There is also a large kitchen area that students have are allowed access to prepare their own food.

Walnut residents also enjoy a small community atmosphere. The building has four floors. Rooms are of single gender and are coed by alternating floors. Room types include singles and large open doubles. The building also contains a study lounge, meeting space, and dining room.

The Walnut Hall has a staff of 2 RAs, which are peer advisors and educators who work with residents to help them in addressing their needs within the residence hall and outside of the residence hall. Walnut also has a main desk that serves as a business and information center for students, guests, and staff.

This smaller residence hall is well within walking distance to any building on campus, being closest to the Management building and Communication buildings.
