Haven Hall
Building Description
Haven Hall was named in honor of the Rev. Erastus O. Haven. Haven served from 1874-1880 and was the second Chancellor of Syracuse University. The co-ed dormitory hall includes a dining hall, main lounge and recreation room, registration desk, family room and a reading room. Usually each floor on Haven has 16 single rooms, 13 double rooms, a triple room and a room for the RA (resident advisor).
History
Construction began for Haven Hall in March of 1963. The first residents occupied Haven in September of 1964. It cost approximately $3.48 million to build Haven Hall.
