Bostock Library
Building Description
The Bostock Library is the latest addition to Duke University. It consists of five floors of services and collections created to provide the students with areas conducive to research and studying. The two-story Carpenter reading room and the center for Instructional Technology are two of the many special features in Bostock.
Bostock and Perkins Library are connected by a gateway, allowing students to access the old study rooms as well as the new ones in Bostock. The three levels of the gateway are furnished and provide additional study space to the students.
History
The Bostock Library is named after the Bostock family. Roy and Merilee and their three children Victoria Bostock Waters, Mathew Bostock, and Kate Bostock Shefferman are all graduates of Duke University and have made significant contributions to the school
Bostock Library has been a phenomenal addition to Duke University. It has provided a more relaxing and comforting atmosphere for the student body to study and do research and has become a common destination for all students during the year.
