Henry Crown Sports Pavillion

Building Description

The Henry Crown Sports Pavilion and Aquatic Center (SPAC) is a beautiful facility located on the shores of Lake Michigan. This 95,000 square foot facility, which is linked to both the Norris Aquatics Center and the Combe Tennis Center serves approximately 1,400 participants per day. Participants can take part in a myriad of activities such as swimming, basketball, squash, racquetball, tennis, group fitness, cycling, weight lifting and other general cardiovascular and exercise related activities.

History

The Henry Crown Sports Pavilion was built in 1987 in conjunction with the Norris Aquatics Center. It represented a major step in the University’s campaign to improve athletic and recreational facilities on campus.
