Regulars drop by this neighborhood favorite for a wide selection of beers, the vintage jukebox, and games inlaid in table tops. Walls are lined with bric-a-brac from the 1904 World’s Fair, “Howdy Doody” and “The Simpsons.” Downstairs features blues, jazz and other live music as part of the great shows that are often offered here. The restaurant offers typical pub fare like chicken sandwiches and nachos; most come for the superlative burgers and puffy onion rings. Service is rudimentary but that is part of the charm.
